Known as CRM, Microsoft Dynamics is a customer relations management program that is mainly used by customers and self-driven business professionals. The program allows users to both track and store contacts, other valuable company information, client activity, and numerous other data that is related to sales. The Microsoft CRM can work in a stand-alone capacity, and can even be employed in addition to other software made by Microsoft.

CRM is basically an umbrella term that can be used to describe any methodology, process, or productivity tool that can be used by companies to track and organized both sales and customer information. Since many businesses will rely totally on CRM-specific software to help them manage and maintain their customer relationships, it is a major part of the puzzle for many companies. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM is the leading software program used by companies today.

Since Microsoft CRM basically works like a functioning database, it will allow users to input and update sales data, while pulling numerous different pieces of information together in a well-organized manner. Just like making use of a regular database, users will enter information, which can then be easily updated or changed as necessary. The major key is that the CRM has mostly sales-focused features, which allow the easy following of trends, the forecasting of potential opportunities, the tracking of specific campaigns, and even the creating of customized sales reports.

Though the layout will differ slightly from Microsoft’s standards products, which we have all come to know and love, it can easily be learned. The main difference is the reliance on a point and click system, rather than the usual toolbar located at the top of the screen. The information is broken down into the four sections of service, sales, marketing and workplace, with each area containing information on contacts and leads.

Since the inaugural launch of Microsoft CRM in 2003, there has been numerous updates aimed at improving functionality and usability. The good news for users is that there is an even newer and user-friendly version scheduled to be released later this year. The new version will have both on-premise and online formats available, and will still be easily incorporated with other Microsoft software.

The requirements of Microsoft CRM can widely vary depending on factors such as the number of users, network systems currently in place, and the specific version that is being implemented. The package is useful in many areas of business from marketing to sales and even customer services. With applications aimed specifically at the government, finances companies, manufacturers, the health industry, and even in education, this software has definitely changed the way a business is run.
